Zach Mangan grew up outside Philadelphia. Much to the chagrin of his parents, teachers, and sometimes police, he spent much of his childhood drawing and painting on every flat surface available. After attending Northeastern University in Boston for computer animation, he never used his degree again and instead specialized in creating architecture for video games. His first big break was working at Rockstar San Diego where he worked on Red Dead Redemption and GTA5. More importantly he met his wife Kate. Together they wandered up and down the West Coast collecting old cars, several dogs, and a house outside San Francisco. After working on Call of Duty for a surprising number of consecutive years, Zach grew restless. Having seemingly worked for every AAA game studio in California, he and Kate moved to Amsterdam. This turned out to be a great choice as it was a lovely place to wait out Covid-19. Post Pandemic, Zach accepted a job which required him to live in England despite the job being to develop tools for remote work. Quickly realizing their mistake, Zach and Kate moved to Lisbon as soon as it was financially and logically feasible. Zach currently spends his days drawing, painting, playing video games, and volunteering at the local animal shelter.
